Honestly Advent Rising was my favorite game of all time. Everything I ever wanted to do in a videogame I got to do. The powers, weapons, and most of all... the STORY!!!! It was like reading a novel. But not reading... playing. It had the perfect gameplay and great music. It had a few bugs but that didn't stop it from achieving greatness in my mind. Advent Rising was the best idea ever thought of. It was just a little ahead of it's time for most hardware. So Majescoand GlyphxI know you may not want to but... This story needs to be finished. If you come out with anything like the first game for a sequel I am your#1 customer even if the game is over 100 dollars. Advent Rising is a MASTERPIECE that does not have all the pieces put together yet. Only you can complete it. And that is why myself and thousands of others ask you to try try again.Sincerely,All of us!!I will send this to Majescoand Glyphxalong with your thoughts post here. Let's do it!!!!!!!!!!!! Post here to help the Advent Rising sequ ...
That game sucked. :Post here to help the Advent Rising sequ ...
|Please God no!!! That game was horrid.
Wow. I absolutely loved Advent Rising. It was definitely one of my favorite games of last gen. Sure it had bugs, but everything else was top-notch and a cinematic masterpiece.Anyways, the Mustard brothers split with Majesco and formed Chair Entertainment. Majesco owns the rights to Advent Rising, so a sequel isn't going to happen. Anyways, they are working with Orson Scott Card on a new IP.

And Chair Entertainment will be releasing the XBLA game Undertow soon.
If i remember correctly that was the game that had a contest with it that said you could win 1 million dollars, and i also remem, ber that it was a huge letdown for how much it advertised itsself.Wasn't it supposed to be a trilogy?

Now that's the only thing I'll remember Advent Rising for, it's epic suckage.

I'm a huge fan of the Battlefield games, and this has been called ''Battlefield Atlantis'' :P

The fact that they had to cancel the million dollar contest because the game sold for crap says a lot though, I don't think I've ever seen that happen with a game before. But I think it was one of the worst games I played on the XBOX. Glad you liked it, but I thought it was one of the worst games I played on the XBOX.
sure, why not?
I dug it. More for its potential than its reality, though. I almost wish they would've had a practice game first, like the Wachowskis' did with Bound to make the movie they really wanted to make (The Matrix). This was obviously their dream project, but they didn't have the gaming know how or budget to really make it a reality. That being said, the game was fun and got better and better as it went along. I want a sequel too, if anything just to see their vision tightened up and executed better. But, as has been stated, there are a number of reasons why it'd be unlikely.
Never played it so Im gonna say no
Definately needs a sequel.AR had its problems but I thoughtit was very fun. Like original poster saidmost everything was top notch. Maybethey could eventually release the second and third chapters but very unlikely seeinghow a majority of people wrote this game off.

Someone needs to go back in time, tell Homer how much this game epically sucked , and have him write a poem about the epic story of suckage instead of the Oddyssey and Illiad.
I don't think anyone wants a sequel. It was pretty bad. My friend hyped it for forever, and when it came out, he agreed, it sucked.
the game didnt suck. It was great! The story left us in cliffhanger... Im curious to know whats gonna happen next :DWith all these critics, Im sure the developers will consider them and make the second one much better!I know it had some bad sides (thinking about it now, im not sure what those were) but it was very enjoyable! :)
Advent Rising was and will be one of the best action Sci-Fi game that originated on the old XBox I have played, after the announcement of the 360 xbox, it was originally on the list as one of the games being converted to be played on the 360 xbox after the dimise of the old xbox. So after trading in my old xbox on a new 360 xbox I was devastated to learn that Advent rising had been taken off the list because they said it had to0 mant glitches. I was devastated. But I refused to give up my copy of Advent Rising. The Game's music score by Tommy Teleco was totally awesome. I

So after trading in my old Xbox on a new 360 Xbox I was devastated to learn that Advent rising had been taken off the list because they said it had too many glitches. But I refused to give up my copy of Advent Rising. The Game's music score by Tommy Tallarico Studios was totally awesome. I waited for the sequel and even bought another Xbox copy as well as the pc version hoping they would revive the game. The storyline was the best I had ever played then and since. For those of you who played the first game of the proposed Trilogy you know what I mean. I even went out and bought another Xbox (used) of course because by this time they had announced that the old Xbox was not even being serviced and produced anymore. The story line of the last of mankind becoming gods with such awesome powers while being helped by a good and benevolent alien race to help save the entire Universe against a bad warrior like alien race who of course wanted to rule the whole universe was really inspiring and fun to play. The used xbox I purchased had obviously been tweaked in some way because when I play this game on it -and yes I still play it even though I have my 2nd Xbox 360 , a ps2 and a ps3, the game plays flawlessly on it, nothing hangs or seems to embed itself into the landscape like before. The landscapes are beautiful especially with the award winning soundtrack in the background. The ending of the first game leaves you wanting and waiting to play the 2nd part of the trilogy. Gideon Wyeth's powers are growing and has still not reached their full potential. I also have the soundtrack which was sold separately so fans could listen to the awesome music over and over. If someone out there has any influence on the decision to complete this trilogy -please do so for the die-hard fans of this game. It is more than worthy of a second chance. It has everything you could want in a game of Good vs. Evil. With the awesome processing power of the 360 this game could evolve into something totally off the scale. They could do so much more with this game that it boggles the mind with endless possibilities. Now I am off my soap box. Please take a second look at what this game could become on the 360 or ps3. thanks
