Buying items in Mass Effect

I have still yet to find a reason to buy items (armor, weapons, upgrades, etc) in Mass Effect. 20 hours into the game. Simply b/c u will find items by defeating enemies/or exploring.This game has one of those broken economies where getting a lot of money/credits is pointless b/c there is nothing to spend it on since all the items u can buy at the shops, u can also find on ur own.Correct me if i'm wrong. I hate shelling out 90000 for a Titan VI armor only to find it in a canister 15 minutes later.Buying items in Mass Effect
But you can't find the HMWA pistol or the HMSWR weapons and armor in a canister. xD Seriously you can't and they're probably the most expensive and powerful items/weapons in the game. Buying items in Mass Effect
Yeah, the specter gear at the citadel can't be found in crates and is the best gear in the game.
There's an achievement you get for accumulating 1 million, and it gives you access to Spectre class gear in the shop, which is better than anything you can find in the game. So it actually does help to save up and sell the useless stuff you find.
