downloadable content across multiple har ...

So here is the situation. I currently live with my boyfriend and we each own an Xbox 360 with our own hard drives. Since we moved into our apartment one Xbox is used mainly for playing games and is the one that we both use. We own fallout 3 and each have our own saves on our own hard drives, however, he has purchased a lot of the downloadable content on his hard drive using his gamertag and I want to be able to play the new content but using my original save on my own hard drive. Is this possible? Can I still play the content using a different hard drive and gamertag or can this content only be played on the one hard drive? Is there anyway to have my gamertag on multiple hard drives and transfer my saves over? Is there even a way to transfer my save to an entirely new gamertag and use that to play the content? I also have a memory unit if this can be used in anyway? Is there a way for me to play this additional content using my own saved game? Obviously Fallout 3 is a very long game and started an entirely new game would take me a very long time. Thanks guys :)downloadable content across multiple har ...
You can try copying your gamertag and F3 saves to the memory unit and playing it on his Xbox.downloadable content across multiple har ...
I thought that might be possible, can I have my Gamertag on both the hard drive and the memory unit? or will I have to delete one? :/
First step - connect your xbox to Live to make sure all your current achievements are uploaded with Live.

Then recover your gamertag on the console that bought the DLC content you want to play - play it on that console.

When you buy DLC it records several bits of info - who bought it (the gamertag), as well as what console and harddrive it was first downloaded onto. As long as it remains on that harddrive and console combination you will be able to play it offline. If for some reason you download it to another harddrive, or replace your console after repairs, it will realise this is not the original equipment and require an online check - requiring the gamertag that bought it to be the one playing.

If you both have your own consoles, and may want to play with each other on one console then I would recommend buying a Memory Unit. Move one of your gamertags onto that, then when you want to play something on the other console you can just plug the memory unit into the other console. I did this when I was moving between consoles and it worked great. So much faster and more convenient than recovering gamertags, and doesn't run the risk of losing achievements if you earn any offline not connected to Live.
