Jasper Chipset

Is the Arcade the only one that has the Jasper Chipset? I wanna buy a 360 elite but i wanna make sure i have the best hardware. Is it best to buy all the accessories for the arcade or just get an elite?Jasper Chipset
Any console manufactured in 2009 is almost guaranteed to be Jasper. Any prior to Nov. 2008 will likely not be. The Elite game of the year bundles are not Elites to my knowledge (thus why they are bundled in the first place). Jasper Chipset
I don't know. I know Elites pawn so its all good.

And don't buy a bundled version (other than RE5 version) since they are not jaspers to my knowledge. If you order one online you will likely be sent a falcon version.
In Australia, i bought a 360 elite from JB-HIFI and it is a jasper :D im so happy
Can I ask, without having to open the 360 up, how do you know if it's got a falcon or a jasper chip? I got RROD again yesterday, so I am also wanting to buy an Elite, but since this is gonna be my fourth 360 total, I want to make sure to get the Jasper this time. Thanks for the help.
I think if you buy a brand new 360 today (Arcade/Pro), you'll be fine.Elites, I don't know.
i heard from my EB rep that the only Elites with Jaspers are the GTA IV bundles. but that's set to change later this year

well, go to EB and ask if u doubt me, that's just what i was told. and i trust what the EB reps tell me

Many of the stories I heard from them turned out to be false. You need to look on the back. If it says 12 - 12V .... Thats the one.
i know its not wise to buy a refurbished 360....but would it be safe to buy a refurbished jasper?
No more Elites are going to come with the Jasper chip set, except the limited edition ones.
I have a Red RE5 elite that was manufactured back in January and it's a Jasper. It's very, very quiet.

Pretty sure arcades are the only ones that have Jaspers, but I could be wrong.
Me and my cousin each got a Jasper when we got a new Arcade one.Check the voltage as someone else said. Also check the MANUFACTURE DATE! Thats a great way to see. make sure it was made in 09 or LATE 08.
