No Face Buttons In Fight Night Round 4 M ...

I just got Fight Night Round 4 last night and I'm all excited because this is the game most of us have been waiting for since the last one. After fixing the game settings I go to put my controller setting to the same setting I put in every Fight Night game, Controller Setting # 3, only to find out that I have no choice and I have to play with the Stupid TPC. Now if we as gamers can't have a choice in something as miniscule as a controller setup, what does that mean for future games? I know some will say ''Well the DLC is coming out and it fixes that''. That helps me none b/c I don't plan on getting online untill the next school semester ends (It distracts me from doing my college school work) Will all games be like this b/c they know DLC can always fix it? How about the ones w/o onlineNo Face Buttons In Fight Night Round 4 M ...

well why don't you just play the game how it is suppose to be played?
You aren't very good at video games.
Well buddy you aren't very good at making a joke. Seriously though I'm forced to play with a setting that's broken
well why don't you just play the game how it is suppose to be played?
Well I have no choice now, but that sucks especially after playing this game for so many years and not having to be froced to use a specific setting.

Not a bad game, just really bad decisions were made.
You should be thankful that EA is even considering putting that option in as DLC because of people moaning about it. At least they're listening to feedback and not sitting on it.

Do think they did it on purpose due to time restrictions?
Yeah, dissuading people from using a more responsive, immersive control scheme and not allowing people to spam punches much easier is awful. How dare EA commit such a crime!!
I was in the same boat as you, I alway used the face buttons. But I will say if you give the game a chance and learn to use the RS you will like the game. They have impoved over the way it works and punches flow and build in a buffer. But I will say it's not perfect ether, I tend to throw right punches when Im trying to throw lefts. I have even looked to see if I was moving the stick to the left and was still throwing rights. I wonder If im the only one with this issue. But give the game a chance once you learn how to play you wont care you can't use the face bottons to punch.

I don't think they removed it due to time restrictions. I think they honestly thought this was the better control scheme.

From article on kotaku.com - ''We strongly believe that the refined Total Punch Control is the most intuitive way to throw punches in Fight Night Round 4,'' the game's senior producer, Dean Richards, said in a press release, ''But we also want fans of the franchise to have an option.''

But don't only accuse EA of pulling such things. Look at MLB 2K8. Yes last year's game. They revamped the pitching to the analog stick which I really liked, but for some it was too difficult so they didn't bother with the game. I think they simplified it for this year's game because of last year's complaints.

Honestly thoughif you pay money for a gameyou should AT THE LEAST be able to play a game w/ controls your used too and not be bogged down by a controlsetting a company felt was right for me.

I was blown away with TPC in FN2004. And I think FNR4's is the best TPC since it allows a little delay inbetween the punches allowing for you to let punches flow, like in real life.

no. it makes it good. too many times i was beaten by my friend cause he was using the buttons instead of the analogue sticks. which require actual SKILL rather then just pressing a button.
Who cares? Just get used to the new set up.
Who cares? Just get used to the new set up.
Listen I'm pretty sure if the Unites States changed the official lauguage from english to french you would either have an objection or at least complained about it. I know the severity of the situation is not remotely close to what I just stated but if you have a problem with something your going to let be known and not just take someone saying ''just get used to it'' as answer that makes you feel better about it. Just how I feel
Where have you been? This has only been beaten to the ground countless times before.
Face buttons are for complete noobs  I've used the analogue sticks since Fight Night 2004 if you're not good enough to co-ordinate your thumbs then go and play facebreaker or something grandad, button bashers are so 1990's

I have the right to not like something youLOVE. So I'm a noob b/c I rather play with a control set-up that's been around b/f the TPC. Then me and my noobish self will complain some more. C'mon, it's your way of playing and more power to you, but don't get pissed off b/c someone isn't just like you. I don't like the controls and no somethings wrong with you for being so emotional b/c someone else's opnion differs from your own. Your a noob at emotions
