Modern Warfare 2 DLC

I am not exactly sure if this is true, but numerous sites have said that the first TWO map packs for MW2 will be released on the Xbox360 at launch. Now, I am very excited for this, but don't you think Infinity Ward should have just included the maps in the game? I think this DLC trend is starting to become bad, because companies are beginning to think they can take sections out of their game just so they can charge extra for them! sometimes they just dont have the time to put it in the game so they make it launch dlc.but i havnt herd anything about any map packs being given out on launchModern Warfare 2 DLC
They didn't say at launch, they just said they would appear on the 360 first (before ps3).
yet the dlc should be included with via la code to download it for free
i think they said at e3 it would be available at launch. it's such an obvious way to milk more money out of people, yet there will hardly be any complaints as people shell out the extra 10 bucks for something that should have been included for free

Yeah, considering they already know there will be two map packs that probably means they're holding out on us. As lame as that may seem though I'd say we should wait and see what happens before we start complaining. If Modern Warfare 2 ships with a fair amount of maps - Say around ten or so - then even if they are holding back I wouldn't complain. Now if the game ships with like five maps then I'd boycott for sure.Hopefully though the map packs wont be full of maps that are just recyled parts of levels from the campaign like World at War. I can't believe how many chumps bought those map packs.

It'll be getting the map packs earlier, not exclusively.
its true, and its a rip off. but MW2 will have the biggest online community of all time, ever. so in a way, it's justified. they're just trying to make money

So are the going to be killed if they don't release the game at a later date? The reason companies do that is to make extra money off the game by screwing over its own customers. They have to be saying ''Oh thank you for buying our game... now if you want the entire game you can spend EVEN MORE for this''

the gaming industry is a business. they want to make a profit. you'd do the same thing if you were the marketing advisor at IW.
That's really lame. I hope they make the maps available for free download to those who buy the first copies of the game, or something. Business is business, but I still feel that in terms of DLC, it is taken too far at times.

So If I worked at Infinity Ward and things were done my way I'd ship the game with the maps I could and sell map packs as an add on, not something to complete the game.
That's stupid, why should we have to pay 20 dollars more when they could easily put it on the disc? Feel sorry for the suckers that are gonna buy the prestige edition :P
