Let's talk about Oblivion.

I just recently got the game, and i was wondering what the best pieces of armor and weapons are. I've found a few goodies, but i still lack that ''Umph''. Anyone have suggestions or tips?Let's talk about Oblivion.

there are no set amazing items, the best type of armour for heavy is daedric and the best light is glass. those dont start appearing until you are level 20 and they wont have any modifiers on them till level 22. In the end i just enchanted my own set of full daedric and glass, but as you can only put one mod on it when you do it yourself (and the range and effect is limited) the best stuff you will find will be in chests. Also, luck determines how good the items you find in chests are, so more luck, better itemsLet's talk about Oblivion.

Well.. chaoscougar1 basically said every word I was about to say. Seriously, it's not even funny.. a little creepy if you ask me. How did you do that?
The ''Umph'' in Oblivion doesn't come from the armor, it comes from the weapon, but still, even the best weapons only start appearing at level 20 and above, (Don't take the luck stat for granted though) and the best weapons you can get are actually from quests
A lot of luck. But you can look up Umbra. It's a great sword that you can get very early in the game.

Thanks! I hadn't yet put two and two together enough to figure out that Luck affected what you loot. I'm not at a very high level, but this is also my second character. On my last file, I was at level 20 or so, and the only Glass anything i had found was an axe from a Highwayman and that helm at the bottom of the ocean just outside Anvil. I'm a bit reluctant to even look for Glass armor on account of it's rarity.

But, can't you only use one on anything? I didn't think you could stack Sigil Stones.

you can only use one.
