Anyone had to put up with this on Xbox L ...

I'm so tired of people on Live asking me what state I'm from. I've seen too many people give out personal info only to find out there account got jacked somehow. I don't fear some little 10 year old screaming in the mic but at the same time all I ask is for them to respect my privacy. So tired of getting cussed out because I wont reveal every detail of where I am. I've had to file like 10 complaints and block lots of dummys on Live here lately. Anyone else had to put up with this crap? Sometimes i feel like I'm being interagated rather than playing a game.Anyone had to put up with this on Xbox L ...
i'm guessing u mean over the mic? i only use the mic in party chatAnyone had to put up with this on Xbox L ...
I get your point but I don't think anyone will go door to door in an entire state searching for you. Plus nobody gets anything hacked by revealing what state they live in.

I had the other system and never had to deal with stuff like that. People seemed more mature.

haha thats not the case, although xbox live is notoriously bad the other systems have their fair share of idiots. dont go fooling yourself thinking that they dont, and there is an easy way to solve your problem, mute
Similar things, yes.

Exactly screw the dumb$%*#, mute %26 game on!!!
Meh, i don't care because no one can hack my account even if i gave them my email or anything anyway, heck, i can't even hack my OWN account. its by the grace of god i can still log on.
People rarely ask me this and when they do I tell them South Florida and if they inquire further I'll them my county. I have never seen anyone harassing someone just because they wont tell them what state they are from.
If someone asks me what state I'm from I tell them. They can figure it out easily on my personal page. I get what you mean but just telling someone a state doesn't really do anything. If you are dumb enough to give out more detailed info, it's your own fault.
MUTE THEIR ARSES! And seriously get going with your gaming.
Can I get hacked by having my real name and state on my profile?
I havent really had that much of a problem and I've been playing on Xbox live for 5 years. If you encounter people like that just mute em'.
I've never had to put up with this on Xbox Live because my mic = off if i'm not with friends, but that reminds me of the awesome days on the PC. Good times with asl or as others know it as, age/sex/location. I mean how many people are going to know a 14 yr old (i'm 19, but using 14 as an example) male in the state of California. There are how many people of that age in that state? So i don't see a big problem with saying your age, sex, or location (location was always a country or state never more discriptive than that). I mean if your like I am a 14 male living in St. Louis, MO right around (some location) and i have 3 brothers and sisters than that would be a tad more information than is needed and i hope one day the person that says it does get their account hacked. Also lieing is fun when it comes to that stuff. I told someone (typed) that i was from Poland while playing Warcraft 3. I think that guy or girl may super against anyone not from America because of the things i said (i argued with him... made the game a lot more fun), but didn't saying anything that would give the Polish a bad rap. I am not really from Poland (obviously), and he/she probably guessed that (actually probably not because he/she was an idiot), but who cares.
I've had that happen. I don't really care though, I have three accounts on a 1 year subscription so if one gets hacked, it wouldn't bother me.
