ok so i just beat quantumn of solace and i went in with bad expecations .... i mean a movie game. havent been many good movie games since snes and genesis days and the latest movie game that wowed me was wolvy uncaged. after playing through qos i swear to god i want to replay it and that aint happen to me in a damn age. it was done so well! the gfx werent perfect but not crap either, gameplay was fun as hell, it wasnt too hard but wasnt too easy, wasnt too long but wasnt to short. and it blended fps with 3ps which imo was a great treat!
i rented it but i dunno if i should rerent(as tomorrow at the video shop is a special rent day) or just buy it!ill also add that i rented fear 2 and its good but im actually playing qos more than it... a movie game :P!anyone got a game that absolutly kicked their ass into loving it!what game did you except to absolutly ** ...
I love The Darkness. It was cheap, it seemed lame, like a hacked together cut-rate FPS with a stupid twist. It ened up being an engrossing, beautiful, dark, intricate game worthy of replay. It's the little things for me. It's the street signs, the graffiti, the music videos - pretty much the whole game was polished and engaging.I am gushing. I'll stop.what game did you except to absolutly ** ...

the little things for me too in qos i forgot to point out, there was all little details drawn in the levels and im like ''this is a movie game yet this world looks beautiful and its all drawn yet the player will be walking though it for 5 seconds and like a whole week of drawing and putting together taken up for 5 secs of gameplay''
I deffinatly thought tht saints row 2was gonna suck but it was ****awesome i mean who doesnt love just beatin up people and jacking cars just to trick them out
lost odyssey thought it was crap when i bought it now i think its a great just got up to the 3rd disk
Fallout 3 was way better then I could have imagined... A lot of games I thought would be great but sucked, well did not care for them is a better way of saying it.

Crackdown was another game that beat my expectations.
Ghostbusters. I thought it would be crap but I really liked it.
Dark Sector, I heard nothing but bad things about it %26 played it anyways however I really enjoyed it.Legendary, not nothing special but entertaining enough to play all the way through.Quantum Of Solace, I agree wasn't expecting much due to movie based license however shooting mechanics %26 action was great.
To be honest Mass Effect. At first i had given up hope on RPG's for the 360 considering there weren't many good tittles since RPG's aren't really Microsoft's thing.
So further more a friend who i played with for a few months suggested it tto me. At first i was like? OK this sucks and i put it away after getting stuck on one of the easier parts. Then i re-picked the game up about 2 months or so later last summer. THE GAME WAS INCREDIBLE. Not only was i hooked on the game beat it 4 times just for pure fun and to find out more about the story but to dissect the plot and all the information i could. I literally got every single possible thing you could have purchased found stolen etc in that game. I just find it so interesting at points. There is such a story behind it that stretches past our imaginations and leaves you to wonder what the hell is going to happen next. The end is phenomenal and the way it just leaves you at a stand still is heartbreaking , im so syked for ME2 in 10'
I've had plenty of games that have beaten my expectations, but if I thought the game was going to be crap then I wouldn't have bought it in the first place.
I expected Viva Pinata to be awful but I tried the demo then I had to buy it
And recently I picked up The World Ends With You for DS. Wow, that game is way better than I thought
Fallout 3 actually. haha
I watched a VATS trailer and thought the whole game was incredibly stupid.
Then I watched an actual gameplay trailer later on and got interested.
I bought the game and I truly love it, one of my favourites ever. :)

I buy tons of ''bad'' games. I have The Godfather 2, Too Human, and plenty of other games.. I just buy games that I know I will like not a game that doesn't interest me or looks bad.. Why would I do that? Guess I'll go waste a lot of money buying every movie game ever made!
Probably quantum of solace, the multiplayer had me hookd for a while
