I just got Fight Night Round 4 last night and I'm all excited because this is the game most of us have been waiting for since the last one. After fixing the game settings I go to put my controller setting to the same setting I put in every Fight Night game, Controller Setting # 3, only to find out that I have no choice and I have to play with the Stupid TPC. Now if we as gamers can't have a choice in something as miniscule as a controller setup, what does that mean for future games? I know some will say ''Well the DLC is coming out and it fixes that''. That helps me none b/c I don't plan on getting online untill the next school semester ends (It distracts me from doing my college school work) Will all games be like this b/c they know DLC can always fix it? You should be thankful that EA is even considering putting that option in as DLC because of people moaning about it. At least they're listening to feedback and not sitting on it.

I was in the same boat as you, I alway used the face buttons. But I will say if you give the game a chance and learn to use the RS you will like the game. They have impoved over the way it works and punches flow and build in a buffer. But I will say it's not perfect ether, I tend to throw right punches when Im trying to throw lefts. I have even looked to see if I was moving the stick to the left and was still throwing rights. I wonder If im the only one with this issue. But give the game a chance once you learn how to play you wont care you can't use the face bottons to punch.

I don't think they removed it due to time restrictions. I think they honestly thought this was the better control scheme.

But don't only accuse EA of pulling such things. Look at MLB 2K8. Yes last year's game. They revamped the pitching to the analog stick which I really liked, but for some it was too difficult so they didn't bother with the game. I think they simplified it for this year's game because of last year's complaints.

I was blown away with TPC in FN2004. And I think FNR4's is the best TPC since it allows a little delay inbetween the punches allowing for you to let punches flow, like in real life.
no. it makes it good. too many times i was beaten by my friend cause he was using the buttons instead of the analogue sticks. which require actual SKILL rather then just pressing a button.

How to unlock coreal sea- 1943

It's not a normal map. It's just an all airplane map. On the main menu, select Air Supply.

Theres a seperate mode for it on the main menu, Air Superiority.

Longest 360 games

ive heard oblivion last a really, really long time. im going to play that once i get through all the amazing games just out now
assassins creed is pretty long so is mass effect
its old and cheap but dead rising is a reallly good buy. i bought it about 8 months ago and played just that for about 5 months straight. i also like fps and rpgs so i think youd like it.
Mass Effect and Oblivon are pretty long RPGs. Orange Box is prolly the longest FPS though since it has 5 games in 1.

yeah bioshock is a good choice. great storyline, location and good lenght. and also gears, single player is very short(on normal) but multiplayer is great and many people are still playing it today
Forza Motorsport 2, there's almost 400 races in that game. :O
Off the top of my head: Oblivion= longest game on the 360 easily (logged about 200-300 hours on with different characters over along period of time), Saints Row, Orange Box looks like its a great deal, The Godfather, Dead Rising, also Bioshock f you really immerse yourself into the game and not just go around shooting everything.
If you're into multiplayer then I guess these would be essential cause they last a long time + they have pretty good single player as well : Halo 3 , Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW2, COD(2,3,4) and Gears of War though you will probably have some of those already.
blue dragon is like easily 60+ hours.

Party Chat has Ruined Xbox Live
This is really just me ranting about no one ever talking on Xbox Live anymore. I remember playing Halo 2 till four in the morning haveing a blast with people I'd meet in game, but now, I'm lucky if someone else even coughs into their mic. As I sit in the game lobby for Halo 3 I see everybody who does have a mic to be in a private chat, and everyone else just simply doesn't even have a mic. Xbox Live use to actually have a community of people, some bad, some good, but it was a unique experiance playing late at night. Than when Microsoft introduced the party chat feature everyone just sits in there even if they're all in the same game and no one interacts with anyone else. I'll admit I myself was excited for the party chat feature and I do still use it in-game from time to time but I miss my random conversaions with complete strangers....Party Chat has Ruined Xbox Live

Most of the people who use their mics for all to hear simply scream into their mics, spew some unoriginal lines in an attempt to be funny or witty, mock someone for their screen name, and run their mouths until I mute them anyway. But, that's just my opinion...

Right..... I don't think anyone really took that post the right way... I've got plenty of friends to go into a party chat with online, I even said that I do it just like everyone else. But on occasion when I'm in the game channel, yea, I like for people to talk and communicate like a team, even the jerk offs provide some entertainment. The whole focus of Xbox Live is to create a virtual community, but a community is hard to enjoy with no communication between one another besides the occasional team kill or tea bag. Again, I do love party chat myself so I'm not saying outright it should be removed or anything like that. Just sometimes people need to stop being so timid in-game and say something.... just my two cents.
Party chat makes xbl better, I'd much rather chat to friends than knob heads that talk smack from the overside of the globe to me.
Umm actually Party Chat has been a blessing for XBL. Id much rather just talk to my buddies than listen to some 9 year old scream into the mike or listen to some punk talk a bunch of crap. Face it, unfortunately, the average person on XBL isnt there to have a good time. They are there to talk smack and act all tough! Party Chat is the best thing to happen to XBL!!

party chat is great, no more screaming little kids who think their gangsta. plus when im not in party chat there are still quite a few people who talk, i find. enough people at least. but id rather talk to friends then little kids anyway
I know for one that I wouldn't even have a mic on if it wasn't for party chat. I tried to go on with strangers, and ended up into multiple verbal altercations with people. When you play a game like CoD: WaW or other shooters with a community; people are down right ugly to you. And I myself have done my own share of cussing people out for team killing or noob tubing and other crap. I have met some cool people but then again met some really strange and freaky people too. To top it all off, I couldn't weigh out the ratio of how many dumb A** punks I exchanged words with, those totally out weighed the number of decent cool people. In fact, I went through my friends list and removed alot of people that I thought were cool, but I never even talk to or play games with for some reason. Seriously what is the reason to have a friend on XBL if you aren't going to communicate with them? Oh and the most enjoyable experiences (sarcasm), is those singing high pitched punk kids that all run around with Jugg and an Mp40; laughing at you and talking trash. Somehow I ended up getting bad reviews for talking trash when I was usually defending myself to some douchebag that started the mess by intentionally team killing at the end of a match or being the host and team killing over and over again. Yeah, I don't do the normal chat in game anymore, its much better for my health and psyche to do party chat with my friends.
Where is everyone finding these people at? I'm not saying I haven't encountered them before, but lately there's nothing but silence for me. Not even an annoying 10 year old yelling about how he just no scoped me! I find that really, really odd because now I almost never encounter trash talking, but I mean come on, it's Xbox Live! If there's no trash talking than you have a problem. I think if I ran into these people normally like I use to, than yes, I'd be very thankful to go into my party chat but they aren't giving me any problems. Now it's just like me and the people I normally talk to on Live are the only people with mics yet here we all are on these forums and most of us how mics. I think my point has really just become completely moot, but I guess what I'm trying to say is if you're in the game channel, have a mic, aren't talking, than stop being shy and say something. If no one answers than fine, you tried, and if someone trash talks you than that's cool too...... just mute them.

Right..... I don't think anyone really took that post the right way... I've got plenty of friends to go into a party chat with online, I even said that I do it just like everyone else. But on occasion when I'm in the game channel, yea, I like for people to talk and communicate like a team, even the jerk offs provide some entertainment. The whole focus of Xbox Live is to create a virtual community, but a community is hard to enjoy with no communication between one another besides the occasional team kill or tea bag. Again, I do love party chat myself so I'm not saying outright it should be removed or anything like that. Just sometimes people need to stop being so timid in-game and say something.... just my two cents.
Party chat makes xbl better, I'd much rather chat to friends than knob heads that talk smack from the overside of the globe to me.
Umm actually Party Chat has been a blessing for XBL. Id much rather just talk to my buddies than listen to some 9 year old scream into the mike or listen to some punk talk a bunch of crap. Face it, unfortunately, the average person on XBL isnt there to have a good time. They are there to talk smack and act all tough! Party Chat is the best thing to happen to XBL!!

party chat is great, no more screaming little kids who think their gangsta. plus when im not in party chat there are still quite a few people who talk, i find. enough people at least. but id rather talk to friends then little kids anyway
I know for one that I wouldn't even have a mic on if it wasn't for party chat. I tried to go on with strangers, and ended up into multiple verbal altercations with people. When you play a game like CoD: WaW or other shooters with a community; people are down right ugly to you. And I myself have done my own share of cussing people out for team killing or noob tubing and other crap. I have met some cool people but then again met some really strange and freaky people too. To top it all off, I couldn't weigh out the ratio of how many dumb A** punks I exchanged words with, those totally out weighed the number of decent cool people. In fact, I went through my friends list and removed alot of people that I thought were cool, but I never even talk to or play games with for some reason. Seriously what is the reason to have a friend on XBL if you aren't going to communicate with them? Oh and the most enjoyable experiences (sarcasm), is those singing high pitched punk kids that all run around with Jugg and an Mp40; laughing at you and talking trash. Somehow I ended up getting bad reviews for talking trash when I was usually defending myself to some douchebag that started the mess by intentionally team killing at the end of a match or being the host and team killing over and over again. Yeah, I don't do the normal chat in game anymore, its much better for my health and psyche to do party chat with my friends.
Where is everyone finding these people at? I'm not saying I haven't encountered them before, but lately there's nothing but silence for me. Not even an annoying 10 year old yelling about how he just no scoped me! I find that really, really odd because now I almost never encounter trash talking, but I mean come on, it's Xbox Live! If there's no trash talking than you have a problem. I think if I ran into these people normally like I use to, than yes, I'd be very thankful to go into my party chat but they aren't giving me any problems. Now it's just like me and the people I normally talk to on Live are the only people with mics yet here we all are on these forums and most of us how mics. I think my point has really just become completely moot, but I guess what I'm trying to say is if you're in the game channel, have a mic, aren't talking, than stop being shy and say something. If no one answers than fine, you tried, and if someone trash talks you than that's cool too...... just mute them.
Sometimes it's quite irritating. Other times the party system is awesome.
Jasper Chipset
Is the Arcade the only one that has the Jasper Chipset? I wanna buy a 360 elite but i wanna make sure i have the best hardware. Is it best to buy all the accessories for the arcade or just get an elite?Jasper Chipset
Any console manufactured in 2009 is almost guaranteed to be Jasper. Any prior to Nov. 2008 will likely not be. The Elite game of the year bundles are not Elites to my knowledge (thus why they are bundled in the first place). Jasper Chipset

Best WRPG with the best story this gen. Nothing else even comes close in the WRPG category that is. The only drawbacks are most of the sidequests and most of the planets are pretty dull.
Simply one of the best rpgs ever. Get it, its epic and the 2nd is coming next year :D

Dont mind the number of planets. Exploration in mass effect sucks, its not BAD but it could be better. ME2 is improving on this department though, nice.
This and the elevators are the only things i just dont like about the game.

But still it is an amazing game with an amazing story and gameplay AND it's customizable to your gaming liking :D Straight up brawl or a tactician. The latter is an actual achievement lol

I recently did all of the campaigns, maybe I could tip you.
its in the construction maps.the land is a tower of worms and you only get 2 worms.the enemy has 6.i cant figure it out.

If I recall right, I teleported the first worm up and hit the enemy like that. Atop and below.

I was stuck on 18th level, 19th i beat in the first try. Let me turn on my 360 and check what level that is again. I just remember i was stuck on 18th level and then i got up to level 23 with no problems, then got stuck again haha.Ill be back in 5mins to give you some tips for that level bud.On another note (while my 360 is setting up), anyone just LOVING this game with friends? Me and a buddy must have played this for 4 hours yesterday haha. The good thing about WORMS is it never gets boring or repetative to me in multiplayer against friends. The levels are differnt everytime and the games play out completely differnt each time which i like.
Ok, checked out the level again. What I did was take out the sentry gun early on, and then I dug holes for a bunch of my worms so they couldnt be attacked very easy (if at all). Then I set up a sentry gun and started to move towards them (once again digging towards them, keeping myself shielded so so speak). And I would also use my attacks like ''Air Strike'' and others that can be used while you are digging into the earth,etc...Dont know if that will help bud, but thats how I played it personally and it worked out pretty well as I beat it first try.You are outnumbered in this one as you said, so you have to play a little defensive imo.Although Im not stuck on 22 (its like the one you are on except much harder.. outnumbered even worse lol)If you or anyone else would like to have some games of worms sometime let me know. Im not cheap and I play just for fun and could care less If i win or not online, just enjoying the fun factor and humour that worms offers :P

I've never actually tried to meet people on Live. I've already got friends, all the friends I've made over Live are people I've met through people I already know. So Live parties really haven't effected me much, it's just now I don't have to go through the trouble of muting people that annoy me.

I am getting the ION for my birthday in 7 days and was wondering if I am able to use the rock band 1 kit or rock band 2 kit pedal instead of the ion's as I have heard that the ION pedal is extremely, clunky, loud. And it gets stuck.ION Drum rocker question.

What do you think they should do to make ME2 even better than the first. One major thing for me is the ability to go to more colonized places, and i really want to be able to go to Earth!Mass Effect 2 ideas.

Weapon customization (more than just the standard upgrades, like visual upgrades as well (i want a pistol with a stock and sights! :P) Yeah going to earth would be awesome, definitely more planets to explore with more varied environs, better squad controls (think R6 Vegas) the gun on the Mako to be less fidgety. some sort of cloaking device and melee weapons for stealth kills (also silencers are a must!)
and of course the 1 thing that everybody wants... FULL FRONTAL ALIEN NUDITY!!! :lol:
1.Fix the damn inventory. It's a mess2.Make sure that the armors you find match the people you are rolling with a bit more and make the loot more varied. I don't unstand the obsession with sniper rifles, they are EVERYWHERE.3.Make exploring the planets actually worthwhile.4.Get rid of the elevators and make traveling around in a location more seamless.

-Less repetitve planets, they're virtually identical in the first game. And with less mountains, it's annoying having to drive up them in the Mako all the time.
-Fix the godawful framerate. I love Mass Effect but it has the absolute worst framerate I have EVER experienced in a game. It makes some firefights 10 times more difficult and frustrating than they have to be. And I'm not even exaggerating.
-Larger, more populated environments/planets. The first game feels too empty sometimes.
^I'm sure Bioware are going to do everything I mentioned. ME 2 is supposed to fix the flaws of the first.

Why the hell can't I buy whatever I want though, this is so stupid. I need to buy the game on my brothers Canadian silver account to play it on my gold account :(

While I do have xbox live, I spend 95% of my time on single player games. There's lots of great ones out there if you haven't been paying attention; Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden 2, just to name a few.
Yes it is, there's quite a few solid SP games on it that you'll enjoy.
the only games am interested in is fallout 3 but want to wait for it become a greatest hist before i buy itand i want to check out alan wake since its looking to become a graphics kingbut other than alan wake am not much of a fan for xbox exclusives (wasa fan of halo 2 but hated 3) and did not like gears 1 or 2
It's still fun without Live.
Xbox live is what keeps me interested in my Xbox 360, without the live you lose about half the content of some games (e.g. Halo 3/Cod).
To be honest, i was expecting to be on XBL endlessly when i first got my 360 and my gold subscription but heh, i'm NEVER online i practically just play offline. So as the others pointed out 360 is great even without XBL.

While I do have xbox live, I spend 95% of my time on single player games. There's lots of great ones out there if you haven't been paying attention; Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden 2, just to name a few.
Yes it is, there's quite a few solid SP games on it that you'll enjoy.

It's still fun without Live.
Xbox live is what keeps me interested in my Xbox 360, without the live you lose about half the content of some games (e.g. Halo 3/Cod).
To be honest, i was expecting to be on XBL endlessly when i first got my 360 and my gold subscription but heh, i'm NEVER online i practically just play offline. So as the others pointed out 360 is great even without XBL.

Repacking Rock Band?
I'm moving to a different city in a few weeks and I'm trying to re-pack my Rock Band instruments. The drums fit fine but when I slide the guitar into its original box, the neck (where you tune the ''strings'') sticks out a few inches, and it's impossible to fit in the original Special Edition box. Am I doing something wrong? Is the neck supposed to come off somehow? I can't imagine how else it would fit in this box.Repacking Rock Band?

MLB 2K9 What is up with the review?
One day I was over at my friends house playing his new game MLB2K9. I wanted to buy it so I checked the review. The review was a 5.5!? But it was fun so I bought it anyway. It is one of my favorite games now. I don't see what the reviewers were talking about. So this taught me to not listen to the reviews as much as how fun the game is. Does anyone think any thing else then what I said about this game.MLB 2K9 What is up with the review?

About not having NVG and up-to-date technology: your arguments are rock solid and valid, but I can only assume that the technology that ''progressed faster'' in the Fallout world than in ours was more along the lines of military technology, such as weapons and facilities, and not technology that is more mainstream, such as personal computers and such. For instance, despite the DOS computer terminals you see in Fallout, there are technological advancements from the game's time frame such as Liberty Prime; things such as those would be close to unimaginable in our world.

Oh but a stealth camouflage suit and a plasma rifle fit just fine? The military technology is supposed to be far advanced beyond that in our world, so I don't see why such a basic commando tool such as NVG would be missing.

i mean seriously how strong can a gun be??? in my opinion, when you start out with the gun that either trumps and or stalemates most weapons in the game there is a problem. For instance, i was playing a simple ffa slayer with the assault rifle as starting weapon. After witnessing the initial shotgun killing sprees and sniping everyone turned to the assault rifle as usual. after a few mindless kills with the AR and a couple bad spawn positions in which my back was to the enemy, i decided to try to dual wield some spikers... fail! It wasnt even funny how fast i died when facing a guy with the assault rifle. Angered i tried again, surely bungie wouldnt make dual wielding completely pointless would they? well i did get a kill but met a similar fate as before yet again against the AR. That's true but I was strictly talking about machineguns. :P The AR really isn't that great of a weapon it's only alright.
The AR is anything but overpowered. If you're going to dual-wield you need to know the best combos, like Plasma Rifle - SMG, or Plasma Pistol - Magnum.

Bungie doesn't know what there doing any more there to busy counting money. I hate how the BR is king ding a ling. Halo3 fell out of favor with the 90 plus people on my FL with the exception of 1. (now its COD4 or Basketball or you play alone) ODST... no. Reach... hopefully. Bungie should pass on the reins, there kind stale these days. They need to release a non FPS titles or anything non-Halo. Get the creative juices flowing again.

Hell, using one SMG in the fashion most people use the assault rifle is more effective. The assault rifle is a well rounded weapon but it's certainly no king of all trades. Sniper and beam rifles are better at long range. Battle rifle, carbine and pistol are better at mid range and the shotgun, mauler, SMG, Sword, hammer, Brute shot and spiker are better at closer ranges. The missile pod, spartan laser and rocket launcher are better at taking out vehicles(and more if you use em' right). the plasma pistol and plasma rifle are good for taking out shields, the former can stop a vehile in it's tracks with an over charged shot. And the Needler is deadly in tight spaces.
The assault rifle is a reliable weapon and a good weapon for less experienced player. But it's easily replaceable, especially considering the fashion most players use it.

CoD4 still has a very strong community
If you like Diablo 2 style RPGs Sacre 2: Fallen Angel is a good buy and will keep you busy for a very long time.

I don't know if you're into grid-based strategy games, but Operation Darkness is a highly underrated game that you might want to look into.

Saints row 2 Hitman Activities
For all those wondering how to beat all the hitman missions, start any hitman activity then immediately save your game....dashboard. Then reload the game, and it'll run the missions like it's SUPPOSED to. They will now show up on radar before you can even see them. Just go near and do what it says and it'll work correctly. The missions are glitched, doing what I said fixes the glitch. I did all 4 hitman lists in 25 minutes and 15 seconds. recommend using a chopper to get to all locations as fast as possible.Saints row 2 Hitman Activities

i havent rly been doing ne of the hitman missions yet, i don't even think i have all the lists. I've beaten the game by myself and completed chop shop, fight club, demo derby, heli assault, insurance fraud, snatch, septic avenger, FUZZ and crowd control.I can't beat the last level of the airport drug traficking though. I keep running out of ammo and end up haing to try and use that awful pistol 2 kill every1 w/. then i usually blow up or something. w/e all i want 2 do now is get those co-op acheivements b4 gears 2 comes out.
o yeah i beat mayhem 2.
Hitmans were easy. I beat all the hitman missions (except for 1) and the Fuzz in about 30 minutes

I've beaten the game by myself and completed chop shop, fight club, demo derby, heli assault, insurance fraud, snatch, septic avenger, FUZZ and crowd control.I can't beat the last level of the airport drug traficking though. I keep running out of ammo and end up haing to try and use that awful pistol 2 kill every1 w/. then i usually blow up or something. w/e all i want 2 do now is get those co-op acheivements b4 gears 2 comes out.
o yeah i beat mayhem 2.
Hitmans were easy. I beat all the hitman missions (except for 1) and the Fuzz in about 30 minutes

It is entirely possible to have access to all lists (save perhaps a few) without all the map packs. CoD4 does it, you can play any of the online game modes whether you have the map pack or not. halo 3 meta campaign achievements
at the moment i am trying to get the meta-campaign achievements for halo 3 but i am finding it difficult. it may seem stupid to some of you that i cant do them but i really need some help or tips. thank youhalo 3 meta campaign achievements
xbox360achievements.org, probably the best place for achievement help. I can't remember 100% exactly what you needed to turn on (skull wise), but I followed the guide on there and it was really easy to get those achievements.halo 3 meta campaign achievements
yeah activate the skulls(not all of em! lol), get plasma pistol+br kills on brutes for extra points. be patient, get needler, idk anything to help ya.

Yeah this pretty much. Just put on two or three gold skulls on and play on normal difficulty. Finishing a level quickly helps to but don't blindly rush, that could get you killed which deducts points. And don't do co-op, it's not going to help you any.
Above all, trust yourself and in your skills, step forward in the battle to take out as many guys as you can or the marines will steal your deaths. But DONT betray em :P
The easiest way to get them is to put the difficulty on normal and turn on a decent number of skulls, but only turn on ones that won't make it too hard for you.

I enjoy N+, despite deep frustration it's addicting.

Uno, it's the only one I have besides the one that came with the system. I have only played a demo of Fish Frenzy or something and that was fun too.
